Traders in Gujrat, Pakistan enjoyed the opportunity to learn a new trading strategy at the MORSI seminar on 8 July, led by FXTM Forex Educator Bilal Jafar.

Free to attend, this insightful session introduced both new and experienced traders to a new way of navigating the markets. The MORSI trading strategy combines two key indicators (the Moving Average and the Relative Strength Index) to identify possible buy and sell signals, as well as potential entry and exit points.

Traders in Bangkok, Thailand joined acclaimed FX Educator Bilal Jafar for a hugely informative two-day workshop on Technical Analysis sponsored by FXTMPartners.  The event commenced on Monday 24 June and took place at the elegant Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri. Designed for both new and experienced traders alike, the workshop explored a host of engaging topics, including:

• The MORSI Trading Strategy
• The Moving Average and RSI technical indicators
• The Multiple Timeframe Trading Strategy
• Buy and Sell signals
• Fibonacci levels, and much more

Bilal ensured that there was ample time for questions from the audience, which enabled guests to further consolidate their newfound knowledge.

The workshop was a huge success with a great turnout on both days. Guests were also treated to delicious complimentary refreshments, which provided both a welcome rest as well as networking opportunities!
 

The 9th Global Family Office Investment Summit returned to Monaco from 18 to 20 June at the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel. For the third time in a row, Hussein Sayed, FXTM’s Chief Market Strategist for the Gulf and MENA region, was delighted to lend his financial markets expertise to the prestigious summit.

The Ritossa Family Office gathers an elite group of business leaders together by invitation only – collectively representing over $4 trillion in investor wealth – to build bridges between European families and their counterparts in the Middle East, US, Asia and Latin America. This latest summit and its theme of ‘The Rise and Rise of Family Offices’ was the most successful yet, and provided industry experts with an inspiring environment for cross-border networking and strategising. 

On the summit’s first day, Hussein moderated the opening keynote panel session, ‘Elite Investor Insights for 2019 & Beyond’. The panellists shared their views on where elite investors should invest their capital along with strategies to protect portfolios from risks, taking into account current and impending mega trends, geopolitical risks and economic challenges. 

Hussein also discussed the future of solar energy with SkyPower Global Group’s President and CEO, Kerry Adler, who is a leading voice in renewable energy and sustainable investment. 

From 22 to 23 June, FXTM’s esteemed Head of Education Andreas Thalassinos was back in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam with his brand-new educational series ‘Trading with Elliott Wave Theory’.

The Elliott Wave theory is one of the fundamental concepts in technical analysis. Elliott defined a number of wave patterns that appear during the lifecycle of a financial instrument and identified guidelines for when they appear. Traders can use these patterns to forecast potential trends and identify possible opportunities in the market. 

Seminar and workshop attendees enjoyed studying new techniques and strategies, including:

• Identifying the different types of wave
• Understanding reversal patterns
• Recognising entry opportunities in the market 
• Calculating price and potential take-profit targets
• Discovering Fibonacci retracements and projections
• Applying risk management rules
• Exploring crowd psychology and contrarian theory

Traders in Dhaka, Bangladesh, were pleased to meet FXTM’s Forex Educator Robin Mazumdar at a thought-provoking Forex Basics and Trading Strategies workshop. This enlightening event provided a fresh perspective on the fundamental principles of the markets, and presented strategies that could contribute to successful trading. 

The two-day workshop began on 28 June and concluded the next day.  The eager audience were ready to enjoy a day of interactive learning right from the start.

Topics covered included:

• An introduction to foreign exchange
• The MT4 platform and how to use it
• The Ichimoku, Moving Average and Fibonacci trading strategies
• Identifying potential buy and sell setups
• Risk management, and much more!

There were numerous opportunities for participants to get involved and ask Robin their most pressing industry questions, which helped to further consolidate their newfound knowledge. There was also designated time for hands-on practice with our very own trading expert on hand to help!
